WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump’s meeting on Tuesday evening with a bipartisan group of senators to discuss tax reform “was highly productive, and will spur constructive discussion moving forward,” the White House said in a statement on Wednesday.

Trump, who is pushing his overall goals of a simpler tax code with lower rates even as a detailed plan has yet to emerge, is also scheduled to hold another bipartisan meeting later on Wednesday at the White House.
