Some of BBC The Traitors star Claudia Winkleman’s family have their own showbiz careers
Claudia Winkleman is one of television’s most recognisable stars. The 52-year-old presenter has had a career spanning more than three decades and she has appeared on some of television’s most popular shows.
Claudia Winkleman returns as the host of popular BBC reality gameshow The Traitors tonight (January 1). Despite having a celebrated showbiz career in her own right, her family are also no strangers to the limelight.
Claudia is not the only famous star in her family, as her husband is film director and producer Kris Thykier. Kris has worked on some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters including Stardust, Tolkien, Operation Mincemeat, Kick-Ass and TV series Riviera.
He most recently worked as an executive producer on the 2022 romantic comedy, Your Christmas or Mine? and has received several BAFTA nominations throughout his career. Claudia and Kris met through friends in 2000 and dated for several years, before tying the knot in a secret ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall in 2000.
Together, Claudia and Kris have welcomed three children called Jake (19), Matilda (16) and Arthur (11). The couple tends to keep their personal life private away from the limelight, but Claudia has opened up about her husband occasionally.
Claudia’s mum is Eve Pollard, an author and journalist who was appointed an OBE following her services to journalism. She has also appeared on Loose Women as a guest panelist.
Claudia is one of five siblings including Sophie Winkleman, Oliver Lloyd, Rachael Lloyd, Justin Lloyd, James Lloyd. Her sister Sophie works as an actress and has appeared on Harry & Paul, Red Dwarf: Back to Earth and Death in Paradise. She is married to Lord Frederick Windsor, who is the son of Prince Michael of Kent and second cousin of King Charles III.
