HANFORD, Calif (FOX26) — A celebration of Asian History and culture is open now in Hanford.
The second installment of the Carnegie Museum of Kings County opened on Friday in Downtown Hanford.
According to officials from the exhibition, the exhibit is located in the Carnegie Library and focuses on the experiences and contributions of the area’s Asian communities following WWII.
Certain displays will highlight the religious practices, cultural traditions, festivals and businesses that are an importance to these groups.
Officials with the exhibit also say that they will recognize individuals and families who have made a positive impact in Kings County.
According to officials with the exhibit, the second installment will focus on the Hmong and Filipino communities.
The Carnegie Museum of Kings County is located at 109 E. Eighth St. in Hanford.
The Asian exhibition will be open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 per person (ages 12 and up), $2 per child up to age 12 and a maximum of $10 per family.
The exhibit runs until December 15, 2024.
