Fossil Free Politics campaign coordinator!

Fossil Free Politics Coordinator

The Fossil Free Politics campaign, launched in October 2019 by Corporate Europe Observatory, Friends of the Earth Europe, Greenpeace Europe and Food and Water Action Europe, and supported by over 200 organisations, wants to stop the involvement of the fossil fuel industry in democratic decision making to halt climate chaos, fix our energy system, and protect people and planet. Similar to existing restrictions on tobacco industry lobbyists, we campaign for a firewall that cuts fossil fuel interests off from policy making: no more preferential treatment, private lobby meetings or partnerships.

Two years after the launch of the campaign, we are now aiming at reaching another level of impact on the public debate, increasing civil society and political support.

Currently, we are five organisations in the core coalition: Corporate Europe Observatory, Friends of the Earth Europe, Greenpeace Europe, Food and Water Action Europe and Global Witness, with a team of around 10 people, most of us based in Brussels.
