For more than a decade, Hailee Steinfeld has put forth her own takes and twists on red carpet style. The actress, who broke out with 2010’s “True Grit” and has since starred in “Pitch Perfect,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” and “The Edge of Seventeen,” has become a red carpet staple at events and awards shows.
Steinfeld became one of the youngest nominees ever at the Academy Awards in 2010 with “True Grit” — also earning nods at the BAFTA Awards for Best Actress, the SAG Awards, and the Critics’ Choice Awards. She also received a nomination at the Golden Globes in 2016 for her role in “The Edge of Seventeen.” Not to mention, Steinfeld earned a Billboard Music Award in 2017 for her song “Most Girls.”
Last month, Steinfeld celebrated the arrival of the season two premiere of her latest project, Netflix’s animated and Riot Games-produced “Arcane.” The show, in which Steinfeld voices Vi, earned four Emmys in 2022 and charted as the number one TV show in 85 countries across Netflix. For the season two premiere, opted for an ornate dress from The New Arrivals by İlkyaz Özel.
Steinfeld has much to celebrate: The actress and music artist announced her engagement yesterday to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. The pair posted a photo to Instagram of their candle- and rose-framed engagement along the ocean, writing the date — Nov. 22 — along with two infinity emojis.
Beyond her film and music career, Steinfeld has embraced bold choices on the red carpet and partnered with the likes of Iris Van Herpen, Prabal Gurung, and Viktor & Rolf for the Met Gala.
