Yet now Amanda Bynes is trading in telly work for French tips and acrylics as she focusses on a career as a manicurist.

She is most famously known for her roles on The Amanda Show, All That, What I Like About You, and Easy A.

Meanwhile, she was also the voice of Taffy on Rugrats from 2002 to 2006.

In 2010, she announced she was retiring from acting to pursue a career in fashion – yet now she’s focussed on another creative role.

Amanda made her big reveal on her Instagram page as she let slip her new podcast, Amanda Bynes and Paul Sieminski, would now wrap too.

She wrote on her Story: “The 1st episode of my podcast did really well.

“I was actually surprised and of course was going to keep going after friends encouraged me to.

“After thinking about it, though, I would rather get my manicurist license and have a consistent job.

“I’m going to follow that path instead. Thank you for following my journey!”

Following years of legal troubles, the former Amanda Show star was placed into a conservatorship in 2013.

Amanda’s life took a turn when she was arrested in 2012 for DUI and a hit and run incident.

Her legal troubles then continued in 2013 after she was accused of setting a neighbour’s driveway on fire which led to a 72-hour mental-health hold.

Last February, it was announced that Amanda had filed a petition to end her conservatorship – which was then successful the following month.

The She’s The Man actress gave a rare life update while speaking to E! News and last year shared: “I am continuing with my Bachelor’s Degree at FIDM, majoring in Creative Industry Studies with a core in Beauty Marketing and Product Development.

“I am traveling to New York in June to work on developing a fragrance which will be ready to launch near the holidays.”

A source close to the star also told the outlet that she’s “very happy and has been enjoying her freedom,” following the end of her conservatorship.

The troubled actress has re-set her focus on her career after a blip saw her rushed to hospital in March and “placed in a psychiatric hold.”
