Apple Autos, which has seven auto dealerships and other specialty locations across the Twin Cities, has acquired the AutoNation Ford dealership in White Bear Lake.
Public records filed with the Minnesota Department of Revenue indicate an entity related to Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based AutoNation Inc. sold the real estate related to its location at 1493 E. County Road E. for $18 million. The selling entity, listed as Tousley Ford Inc., refers to the longtime former owner.
The sale closed Aug. 7, and signs have been changed to Apple Ford White Bear Lake. The buyer is listed as WBL Auto Real Estate LLC, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but a spokesperson for Apple Valley-based Apple Autos confirmed the local company is the new owner.
Apple also has Apple Ford Apple Valley, Apple Lincoln Apple Valley, Apple Ford Shakopee, Apple Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Shakopee, Apple Used Autos Shakopee, Apple Chevrolet Northfield, and Apple Ford Pro Elite Commercial Center and Apple Collision and Glass in Lakeville.
