Lafayette Music Festival organizers plan inaugural event in October

Music lovers from Boulder County and beyond are invited to attend the first Lafayette Music Festival this fall.

On Oct. 8, the inaugural event will be at five music venues across town, and will feature a bevy of live musical performances ranging from rock to R&B.

The Lafayette Music Festival is the creation of Rock for the People, a local nonprofit organization focused on building an inclusive live music community in Lafayette.

Though a lineup has not been released yet, attendees can expect a full day of musical entertainment, which will be at local joints such as Nissi’s Entertainment Venue, The Arts HUB, Muse Performance Space, Tier Two Live at Confluence Garage and The End Lafayette.

A wristband will grant entry to all five venues as well as provide discounts at shops and restaurants throughout the city.

According to a news release from festival organizers, a lineup and ticket info will be released in the coming weeks.
