The Grand Canyon swimming and diving team is in West Lafayette, Ind. to compete in the Purdue Invitational Thursday through Saturday.
Last year at the Miami Midseason Invitational the Lopes men secured the meet victory with eight teams present.
The midseason meet is a great opportunity because the athletes taper leading into the meet, meaning every athlete has been resting leading up to this. In addition, they will all wear tech suits, which guarantee faster swimming. The ultimate goal is to have NCAA and CSCAA qualifying times.
Purdue Swimming & Diving is hosting the three-day Purdue Invitational at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center.
