A has been arrested on allegations that he was dealing methamphetamines out of an auto repair shop.
James Palmisano, 43, of Little Egg Harbor, was taken into custody on Jan. 3 and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of steroids, possession of drug paraphernalia and various weapons offenses, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said on Friday.
During a months-long investigation into drug distribution around Ocean County, authorities identified Island Automotive in Little Egg Harbor as a potential location where methamphetamine was being sold.
During a search of the shop, detectives seized methamphetamine, 19 vials of steroids, four firearms, numerous BB guns and ammunition, officials said.
Prosecutors did not say how Palmisano is affiliated with Island Automotive. The business did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
He is custody at Ocean County Jail pending trial.
