Akron, Ohio — Creighton men’s soccer dropped a 3-0 contest at Akron on Wednesday, October 23 giving the Bluejays’ their first road loss of the season.

Following Wednesday’s result the Bluejays are 7-5-3 on the season and 2-3-1 in BIG EAST action, while Akron moved to 9-3-3 overall and 6-0-0 in conference play.

Akron got on the board in the opening half as Stefan Dobrijevic converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute (31:48). The Zips added goals in the 57th and 59th minutes as Emil Jaaskelainen scored twice in less than two minutes.

The Bluejays were out shot 17-4 in the match.

Creighton returns home for senior day on Saturday, October 26 against Butler at 3:00 p.m.
