The Girls Aloud star and former NFL pro have plenty of history together after dating for 11 years.
The pair – who share six-year-old daughter Anaíya – are now back living under the same roof as they continue to co-parent their little girl.
However despite their unconventional living arrangement working for them, the pair refuse to put a label on their situation.
“What we are doing definitely works for us,” she told OK!. “It has worked, so we’re just sticking with that. It’s all about being supportive and being there for each other.”
When quizzed on whether the pair are now dating again, Nadine insisted that the pair are “very close”.
“I’ve known Jason for 14 years, which is a really long time. We get on great. We eat dinner together and have a lovely time,” she said.
“He’s a great father to Anaíya – he’s helping her with school work as we speak. Jason and I will always be in each other’s lives.
“When you have a baby together and spend so much time together, there’s always that familiarity there. With so much going on in the world we’re just trying to be in the moment and be there for Anaíya,” she added.
The famous exes have continued to spark rumours they have got back together after their split last year.
They were the talk of the showbiz circuit when they held hands in the car leaving the BBC studios after Strictly Come Dancing’s live show in November last year.
Jason fuelled the romantic flames as he hinted at a reconciliation with his famous ex-girlfriend.
He told Heat magazine: “A lot of people want a lot of things, so you never know!”
Gushing Jason shared his love of Nadine with the world and he heaped praise on his ex for her devotion to their daughter.
Even more convincing, Jason claimed Nadine was his secret weapon during his time on the hit BBC show.
He elaborated: “I love who she is as a person – always have and always will. The thing about Nadine is that if you watch her, and see how she cares about her daughter and the people she loves, it’s infectious.”
