SEATTLE — The Washington gymnastics team will host No. 6 UCLA on Friday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Ed. This meet marks the 44th meeting between the Huskies and Bruins.

Friday’s meet will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a special ticket package. For just $20, the NGWSD package includes one general admission (GA) ticket to the UW vs. UCLA gymnastics meet, one GA ticket to the UW vs. Maryland women’s basketball game, and admission to the pregame clinic before the women’s basketball game. Additionally, a separate ticket package for a limited edition stainless steel tumbler is available here, with the option to add the tumbler to tickets that have already been purchased here.
Washington is coming off a loss to No. 18 Minnesota, falling 195.425-196.825. The Huskies posted season-best scores on vault, bars, and beam, and four GymDawgs recorded career highs.
Graduate student-athlete Taylor Russon led the team, sharing co-champion honors on beam with a score of 9.875. Mary McDonough claimed the all-around title with a score of 38.950, including a career best on bars.
Washington is seeking its first-ever Big Ten victory. The Huskies are 3-40 all-time against UCLA.

UCLA, led by R.C. Rothman Head Coach Janelle McDonald, features Olympians Jordan Chiles, Emma Malabuyo, and Brooklyn Moors, along with eight-time All-American Chae Campbell and all-conference gymnasts Frida Esparza and Katelyn Rosen.
In their last meet, UCLA rallied in the final rotation to edge No. 5 Michigan State, 197.300-197.200. The Bruins posted a national-best 49.800 on floor, capped by Jordan Chiles’ perfect 10.0.
