Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke by phone today with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov to discuss the latest battlefield developments, as Ukraine continues to fight Russian aggression. They also discussed security assistance priorities and plans for the next Ukraine Defense Contact Group to be held later this month.
The two leaders pledged to remain in close contact.
