Several figures from the creative arts sector attended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto launch in Takoradi, Western Region.
Some of these personalities wore NPP colors, while others were in their usual attire, showing their support for NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he presented his policies for the nation.
Notable attendees included the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey; actor Prince David Osei; and veteran music producer Fred Kyei Mensah, also known as Fredyma.
Other attendees were gospel artistes Nicholas Omane Acheampong and Diana Asamoah.
During his speech, David Osei encouraged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia, noting that the nation’s struggles are part of a global issue that the NPP aims to address if they win the 2024 elections.
Diana Asamoah, dressed in all white with a hat, performed a remixed version of one of her songs to support Dr. Bawumia’s campaign.
The song’s lyrics suggest that just as David defeated Goliath with God’s favor, Dr. Bawumia can win the presidential seat.
The NPP manifesto launch took place at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi on August 18, 2024.
Dr. Bawumia unveiled his policy plans and called on the public to support him in addressing economic challenges if elected president.
