The rate of common sexually transmissible infections among Australians over the age of 50 has increased, according to researchers.
Associate Professor Jennifer Power is from the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University.
She joined Trevor Chappell on ABC Radio Melbourne to discuss why the number of cases is going up and what can be done to bring the rate down.
“We should focus a little bit more on sexual wellbeing… asking questions about what people need [in order to] have a safe, respectful and pleasurable sex life,” she said.
