If the second and last exhibition of the season for Michigan basketball is anything like the first, it should be a fun night for Wolverines fans.

Michigan basketball coach Dusty May is set to make his coaching debut Friday night at Crisler Center as the Wolverines host Toledo for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off on Big Ten Network.

The Wolverines looked impressive in May’s exhibition debut against Oakland last Sunday as they launched 3-pointer after 3-pointer in a 92-48 rout of the Golden Grizzlies, who are coming off an appearance in the second round of the NCAA tournament last year.

Ohio State transfer Roddy Gayle Jr. led the team in scoring with 13 points while Yale transfer Danny Wolf and Florida Atlantic transfer Vladislav Goldin both scored in double figures.

With an entirely new cast of players and a totally different style of play, there will still be plenty to watch for Michigan basketball fans as the Wolverines close out the exhibition season against Toledo Friday night.

Friday’s game will be a charity exhibition that will benefit C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
