On Monday 20 January 2025, Donald Trump will begin his second term as the 47th President of the United States, with a strong mandate and unrestrained by other branches of government.

While it is still unclear whether this will affect his domestic or international political choices, fundamental questions remain about how his presidency will impact countries around the world.

How will his economic policy, especially tariffs, affect the global economy? How will he approach NATO and the conflict in Ukraine? How much of a priority will China be? Will he intervene in the crisis in the Middle East? What effect will his attitude to climate policies have? Will his proposed immigration policies influence other countries? And will his impulsive nature impact the relationship between the US and countries across the globe?

As the second Trump administration takes office in an increasingly uncertain global context, join our panel of experts as they discuss how this might impact the world outside America.
