USPS announces stamp honoring late ‘Jeopardy!’ host Alex Trebek

(Gray News) – The United States Postal Service announced Friday it is honoring late quiz show host Alex Trebek with a postage stamp.

The stamp depicts a “Jeopardy!” style clue, stating, “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ for 37 seasons,” with the answer, “Who is Alex Trebek?” printed upside down at the bottom.

A sheet of 20 Forever Stamps also features Trebek’s picture and several “Jeopardy!” categories, with the stamps arranged to resemble the game show’s iconic game board.

Trebek died in 2020 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Pre-orders for the Alex Trebek stamp began Friday with the official release set for July 22 at a free public event at the “Jeopardy!” studio with current host Ken Jennings and Trebek’s widow in attendance. Registration is required.
