McDonald’s has their $5 value meal. Burger King has it’s $5 meal deal. Wendy’s has a $3 breakfast combo and weekly chicken nugget deals.

With inflation hitting consumer’s wallets hard, people are looking for the best value. But where is the best value? Where can you get the most bang for your buck?

According to FinanceBuzz.com, the $5 value meals aren’t always the best value. The website compared prices from each fast food restaurant’s app. The prices were collected from restaurants in the same city.

Which value meal offers the best value?

Taco Bell had the best value meal. The meal included a Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double-Stacked taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce and a medium drink. The combined price of the individual items was $15.65. The value meal costs $7 for a savings of $8.65 or a 55% discount.

Wendy’s $5 Biggie Bag came in second. The meal includes a Crispy Chicken Sandwich or Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, four-piece chicken nuggets, junior fries, a small drink and a small Frosty. The combined price of the individual items cost $10.75. The value meal costs $5 for a savings of $5.75 or a 53% discount.

McDonald’s was third. The $5 Meal Deal includes either a McChicken or McDouble, a four-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a small drink. The combined price of the items is $9.96. You’ll save $4.96 for a 50% discount.

Which value meal offered the worst value?

Popeye’s Big Box finished last. The meal includes two pieces of chicken, two regular sides and a biscuit for an individual combined cost of $8.50. The meal costs $6.99, a savings of $1.51 or 18% off.

Still, saving $1.51 is still saving money.
