From the drama to the fashion, Gossip Girl will always be iconic, but which character most aligns with your zodiac sign?
The series, which premiered on Sept. 19, 2007, followed the “scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite” as they went to school on the Upper East Side.
Throughout the show’s six seasons, fans found themselves rooting for various couples, while also associating with certain characters.
If you’re a mutable sign, you might have gravitated towards the daydreaming It girl Serena van der Woodsen, while fixed signs might have gotten a kick out of Blair’s relentless determination to get what she wants.
As the series celebrates its 17th anniversary, astrologer Valerie Mesa shared her readings for which Gossip Girl character aligns with each sign.
See which one is most like yours ahead.
Aries: Jenny
Out of all the characters, Jenny is one of the most bold and fearless, which Mesa notes makes her a total Aries. “She is competitive and audacious, and goes to great lengths to pursue her career as a fashion, designer and be the new queen bee of Constance,” Mesa says, adding that “she isn’t afraid to take risks if that means she’ll win.”
Taurus: Chuck
Being completely self-indulgent, Mesa says “Chuck Bass oozes Venusian energy in the way he revels in the finer things in life, takes his sweet time to court potential prospects and stubbornly holds back from giving in, despite being madly in love with Blair.” She adds that “his relationship with wealth and money is also very Taurean.”
Gemini: Dan
Being (spoiler alert!) the true identity behind Gossip Girl, Dan is a total Gemini! “An avid thinker with a lot to say, Dan is clever in his approach and unexpectedly swift when crossed, which is very mercurial,” Mesa says. “He also has two sides to him, and his duality is kept secret for a long time.”
Cancer: Rufus
There are many aspects that make Rufus a Cancer sign. In addition to being a musician and hopeless romantic, which Mesa says is “very Cancerian,” Rufus is a devoted dad and works hard to keep his family together. “His emotions also get the best of him, especially during his on and off again love affair with Lily, which also has a touch of nostalgia attached to it, and there’s nothing more this moon-ruled sign loves than romanticizing the past,” Mesa notes.
Leo: Lily
Lily certainly has Leo energy. “Ruled but the sun, she exudes charisma and strength, and is often preoccupied with what others think of her and her family,” Mesa says. “She is fiercely protective of her children and her pride also gets in the way of her relationships at times.” Not to mention, she is very regal like a Leo, but has a wild side as well.
Virgo: Dorota
Throughout the series, Dorota serves as Blair’s closest confidant and the keeper of all her secrets, much like a Virgo sign. According to Mesa, this Earth sign “loves to be of service to those around them, and Dorota’s maternal energy and multifacetedness are instrumental in her devotion to Blair.”
Libra: Eric
Even though he says he hates it, Eric is constantly at the center of relationship drama, which is a typical Libra. From his bond with his sister Serena to his on-and-off-again friendship with Jenny, Mesa notes that “Eric is constantly seeking balance,” just like this sign represented by the scales.
Scorpio: Blair
Blair is a Scorpio through and through. From falling deeply in love with Chuck and keeping it a secret to plotting schemes behind the scenes, Mesa notes her actions are all “very Plutonian.” Also like the Water sign, Mesa adds that “she will also stop at nothing to get revenge when she feels threatened.”
Sagittarius: Vanessa
Despite being an outsider, Mesa notes that “Vanessa brings a fresh perspective to the Upper East Side,” which is “very Jupiterian as this Fire sign is known to step out of their comfort zone as a way to obtain the truth they seek.” Also like this zodiac sign, she often chooses to remain true to herself.
Capricorn: Nate
Possessing a huge heart but oftentimes very stoic, Mesa notes that Nate resembles “Capricorn‘s pragmatic planetary ruler Saturn.” She adds that “the pressure he experiences in attempts to live up to his family legacy, goes hand-in-hand with Capricorn themes.”
Aquarius: Georgina
Whenever Georgina appears on screen, you know trouble is about to brew! As Mesa points out, she is the “mastermind at creating chaos,” which “resembles the essence of Uranus, Aquarius’ planetary ruler.”
Pisces: Serena
Despite her various ups and downs on the show, Mesa dubs Serena as “the quintessential dream girl of the Upper East Side,” much like the dreamy Pisces sign. “Her effortless glamour and unconditional love for her friends, resemble the essence of Neptune, Pisces planetary ruler,” Mesa says. “She is also deceived and projected upon countless times, and this evasive energy goes hand-in-hand with this intriguing Water sign.”
