Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit have arrested and charged a male after investigating a threats call. 

On February 2, 2023, police were contacted by the office of a local Member of Parliament regarding online threats against them. 

As a result of the investigation, on February 3, 2023, police located and arrested the suspect. 

A 44-year-old Woolwich Township male has been charged with Uttering Threats To Cause Death. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 20, 2023.
