Kitty Song Covey is signing up for another semester at KISS. Netflix officially renewed XO, Kitty for a third season, with series star Anna Cathcart helping break the news in a short Valentine’s Day video. Season two arrived in January 2025. The streamer hasn’t announced when fans can expect the third season to premiere.
“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,” said showrunner, executive producer, and writer Jessica O’Toole. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 but I can promise season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode — not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure…and kissing. Lots of kissing.”
In addition to Anna Cathcart, season two stars Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Regan Aliyah as Juliana, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, and Philippe Lee as Mr. Moon. Audrey Huynh plays Stella, Jocelyn Shelfo is Madison, Michael K. Lee is Professor Lee, Sasha Bhasin is Praveena, and Joshua Lee is Jin.
The series is a spinoff of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before films, based on Jenny Han’s bestselling books. Han created the XO, Kitty series and serves as an executive producer along with Matt Kaplan. The show’s second season snagged the #2 spot on Netflix’s top English TV list when it debuted, raking in 14.2 million views.
“Teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for a new semester at KISS. She’s single for the first time in a long time, and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama,” reads Netflix’s season two synopsis. “Maybe just some casual dating. Emphasis on casual. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change. As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family, and love are more complicated than she ever imagined.”
