PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Air and road travel over the Fourth of July weekend is expected to be busy.
AAA says 72 million Americans will travel, with 877,000 Oregonians expected to hit the road.
Gas prices continue to fall across the nation. The average price of a gallon of gas is $3.85, down 8 cents from last week. In Oregon, the average price has fallen 15 cents to $4.68 per gallon.
AAA says prices are still about 65 cents per gallon higher than they were a year ago.
