Brooklyn Beckham has seemingly “shaded” his family, after he skipped an appearance at England’s World Cup match.

Brooklyn’s estrangement from his parents David and Victoria Beckham, exploded back in January, after he released a statement saying that “he will “not reconcile with [his] family”, and claiming that his parents “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship.”

Throughout the past year, rumours had been rife that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, had grown distant from his parents, former footballer David and Spice Girls singer Victoria.

On Saturday night, the Beckhams were out in force in Miami to support England in their World Cup quarter-final against Norway.

The Three Lions ultimately beat Norway 2-1 in extra time, and David and Victoria were there to support them with their three youngest children – sons Romeo (23) and Cruz (21), and daughter Harper (15).

The family were regularly shown on the big screen in the stadium and on the match’s live broadcast, celebrating England’s success.

Following the win, David took to Instagram to share a snap of his loved ones posing together in the stadium.

“What a moment in Miami, I’m so proud of the team tonight reaching the Semi final of the World Cup and to celebrate with my family was so special… Thank you @england for giving our country these moments ❤️🤍 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿,” he penned.

Meanwhile, Victoria shared the same photo on her own Instagram, writing: “Special moment tonight in Miami with my family and for our country xxxx 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿”.

However, fans were quick to notice that the couple’s eldest son, Brooklyn (27), was not in attendance with them, nor was he anywhere else in the stadium.

Instead, Brooklyn confirmed on social media that he opted to watch the match at home.

On his Instagram stories, the aspiring chef posted a snap of his TV screen displaying the start of the match.

Brooklyn had previously hinted that he would not be attending any of this year’s World Cup matches in person.

Last month, he launched an ad campaign with American food delivery service DoorDash, which poked fun at his feud with his family.

The DoorDash campaign, which revolved around this summer’s World Cup in the US, focused on Brooklyn having to watch the hotly-anticipated matches “from home”, despite already having tickets to them.

In his second advert for the campaign, Brooklyn joked that he was easily able to access the tickets, but could no longer use them.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It’s not like I don’t have tickets. Um, it’s because… It’s a long story,” he stated to the camera.

In the ad, a DoorDash courier met the aspiring chef at his front door, where Brooklyn then placed the World Cup tickets into the courier’s bag.

“These can go to someone… else,” the 27-year-old instructed, before the courier left the property.

Calling back to the courier, Brooklyn added: “Hey! Put them somewhere fun.”

The tongue-in-cheek jab referenced David Beckham’s prominence as a former footballer, and being a regular attendee at this year’s World Cup.

According to Page Six, Brooklyn is believed to have been paid around $1 million for his involvement.

A source told the publication: “It’s a little cheesy. Anything that makes him money is good — it shows that his brand is there and flourishing.”

Brand expert Ana Andjelic also told the outlet: “It’s a good ad. It taps into some human truths: all families have their own feuds. It’s the World Cup, it involves the most famous soccer player in the world, it has perfect timing. It’s a win for DoorDash. [The company] wants to be in the news and they have achieved what they wanted … it’s funny.”

However, Brooklyn received negative backlash for the campaign, with online commentators describing it as “classless”.

Many Instagram users took to Brooklyn’s comments section to express their disappointment, with one admitting: “This is a giant PR miss.”

“Read the room lad,” another wished.

“Wow! The double standards!!” a third exclaimed.
