One of biggest days in the life of Corvette owner is the day they take delivery of their new car. Even if you have owned multiple C8 Corvettes like our friend Mike Brink has over the years, delivery day is still a magical experience.
We’ve been following Mike’s order for his 2027 Corvette Grand Sport from the beginning and so it’s fun to finally see it in the showroom ready for its new owner. Another cool aspect of this delivery is that Mike’s family and friends also showed up to his dealer Huffines Chevrolet in Plano, TX to be part of the special occasion.
As far as the specs on this car go, it’s a beautiful modern version of the original 1996 Corvette Grand Sport that Mike has been obsessing over since his early days. It features the classic Admiral Blue exterior with the wide white racing stripe, and the red hashmarks which now appear on the rear quarter-panels of the car. Mike went with a 2LT Coupe version and added black wheels, red brake calipers, a sueded-microfiber steering wheel and the Jet Black interior which includes GT2 seats, custom red stitching, and a Grand Sport personalized plaque that reads “BOS | America 250.” Altogether, his MSRP was $104K.
Now that Mike has taken delivery of the car, you can expect that he’s already working up some cool content ideas around it and the new 535-hp LS6 V8 engine. Of course, we’re excited as we will be able to check out this new dream machine for ourselves this Friday and Saturday at the Corvette Invasion show in Bastrop, Texas.
For those of you who also have a new Grand Sport on order, you have this to look forward to!
