Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ:COIN) CEO Brian Armstrong recently advised young people to think more broadly about the kind of change the world needs and to start working toward it with purpose.

Don’t Shy Away From Ambitious Enough Problems, Says Armstrong

In an X post dated July 16, Armstrong echoed an earlier talk in which he encouraged those starting their business to “think bigger” and pursue the “truly hard problems.”

“Start with something you feel in your bones must be possible or different in the world, even if it’s not a business,” the cryptocurrency billionaire added.

In the October 2025 interview with Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon that he cited, he advised individuals not to “shy away” from problems, but to confront them head-on.

“People don’t generally tackle ambitious enough problems,” Armstrong noted. “Solving these hard problems is what creates value.”
