The 20-year-old has legally changed her surname to Noelle and has dropped Cruise, according to reports.

Public records show Suri registered to vote in Pennsylvania, where she currently lives, in October 2024 during her freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University.

She registered with the name Suri Noelle, which indicates that it is her legal name, according to Page Six.

According to Pennsylvania courts, residents must register to vote using their legal name.

Suri reportedly did not file to change her name in Allegheny County, and the outlet suggested that she may have done so in New York before she left for college.

It is unclear exactly when she dropped Cruise and changed her legal name to Suri Noelle, although she has been using the moniker publicly for years.

Suri hasn’t had much of a relationship with her Hollywood star father for most of her life, she first made headlines for dropping his surname at her high school graduation in June 2024.

At the time she went with Noelle for her surname in the graduation ceremony pamphlet.

Noelle, which is Holmes’ middle name, was a nod to her mother.

A source claimed the move from Suri, who was a teenager at the time, was in a bid to avoid paparazzi and establish her own identity to start fresh at college.

In April 2023, Holmes told Glamour that she likes to “protect” Suri from the public eye “because she was so visible at a young age.”

The actress added: “I’m very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She’s an incredible person. She’s my heart.”
