What was the starting point for this collection? Was there a particular silhouette, fabric, reference or idea that first sparked the creative process?
“Precision tailoring and a quiet sense of sophistication were really the starting points, alongside subtle references to the glamour of the 1920s. As we often do, we began by looking at classic wardrobe pieces and started to consider how we might reimagine them through proportion, construction and materiality. As the collection developed, we started to introduce more contrast through tactile fabrics, embroidery and fringing, bringing movement and richness to those foundations. It became about finding a balance between not adding too much and adding in a sense of expression, while ensuring the clothes still feel effortless and relevant.”
Which signatures of the brand were you most interested in exploring or refining this season?
“We continually return to precision, craftsmanship, strong silhouettes and an emphasis on pieces that have relevance beyond a single season – this is important and I feel we have such a strong base to each collection because of this consistency. This collection builds on those, particularly through tailoring and proportion. We explored elongated silhouettes and reworked classic pieces through different constructions, textures and finishes. At the same time, the embroidery, fringing and richer decorative elements brought a different feel this season, maybe something that feels more dressed up.”
