James Bond himself, 007 actor Pierce Brosnan, was spotted at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

The Vancouver Art Gallery shared a post about his visit on Instagram earlier today, calling Brosnan a “prolific artist” himself. It also referred to Brosnan as an environmental advocate.

According to the post, Brosnan was at the Vancouver Art Gallery to see That Green Ideal: Emily Carr and the Idea of Nature and Future Geographies: Art in the Century of Climate Change.

The Goldeneye and Mrs. Doubtfire actor has been in Vancouver several times in the past, including for film projects like Butterfly on a Wheel, an action thriller that was filmed here.

Vancouver Art Gallery’s Instagram post said that Co-CEO Sirish Rao caught up with the actor. The gallery shared a portion of a 2023 Vanity Fair blurb in which Brosnan described painting as being therapeutic.

It also shared this quote from the Vanity Fair piece from Brosnan:

“Painting has helped me find my way in life. Whenever I feel angst, I’ll go to the canvas. It brings me comfort, and it’s just so joyful.”

Brosnan is currently one of the stars of the hit TV show MobLand. He’s also set to star in the upcoming reboot of the Sylvester Stallone flick Cliffhanger.

“That’s Thomas Crown! Check his pockets,” someone joked in response to the post.

Others praised his work in MobLand.
