Miranda Kerr said she “seriously considered” walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026 runway, but that ultimately, her gut told her not to do it.
Kerr — one of the most recognizable Victoria’s Secret models — explained why she chose to turn down the opportunity last month, having last walked the show in 2012.
The Australian model admitted to feeling anxiety about walking the runway during her appearance on Tuesday’s episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, and said she meditated about whether to do it or not.
“Everyone’s in their underwear,” she explained. “I’m 43. I have four boys.”
“I got, like, this knot in my stomach, and as much as I try to meditate and ease it, it was still there,” she continued. “The only way I could resolve that is to say, ‘OK, you’re not going to do the show. How do you feel now?’”
Kerr said she immediately felt at peace, which is how she knows she made the right decision for herself — despite a lot of people on her team pushing her to do it.
“It also feels like that was then and this is now, and I’m at a different stage in my life,” she pointed out.
Still, she had nothing but positive things to say about the lingerie brand, reflecting that she had “beautiful memories” of past shows.
“What an honor to be asked to walk back as a 43-year-old mother of four, like I feel very humbled and honored that they would even want me,” she marveled.
Kerr is one of the most recognizable former Victoria’s Secret models, having walked the show six times, starting in 2006.
In September, she made a surprise return to the runway for Stella McCartney, nearly a decade after she last walked in a fashion show.
Kerr noted during her podcast appearance Tuesday that the nerves felt different before her surprise return to the runway at the Stella McCartney show one month prior to the lingerie extravaganza.
These days, she’s more focused on her Kora Organics skincare line and being a mother to her four sons — Flynn, 15, Hart, 8, Myles, 7, and Pierre, 2.
She shares Flynn with her ex-husband, Orlando Bloom, while her shares her three younger sons with husband Evan Spiegel, whom she married in 2017.
