Another country music singer is causing a stir with his words about Donald Trump and his followers just weeks after star Zach Bryan came under fire for his new song, “Bad News.”
This time the singer is Bryan Andrews, who took to TikTok to “crash out” over the president and the MAGA world.
“You don’t get to call yourself a Christian and then advocate and (expletive) laugh when families are torn apart outside of courthouses, when people (are) trying to come here the right ways,” he said in a video.
“You don’t get to call yourself a Christian and then think it’s OK that the highest court in the (expletive) land just gave a green light to ICE agents to be able to (expletive) target people because they are brown or speaking Spanish.”
The singer said it makes him “sick” to be lumped in with MAGA supporters who claim to be Christians.
“You are not Christian,” he said. “You use Christianity as a shield to hide behind when you need to justify the hate that you have scolded into this world.”
While it is common for singers to feel the wrath of MAGA when criticizing the group, Andrews received plenty of support in his replies.
“I need your energy in an IV,” one person replied.
“My man,” another wrote. “This is the way. Holy rage all day.”
“I don’t even like country music, but I will be listening to you on the regular now,” another wrote.
“You may have lost some followers with this post, but you also just gained A WHOLE LOT MORE.”
