Paul Thomas Anderson’s time-hopping revolutionary drama One Battle After Another was the big winner at the 98th Academy Awards, taking home a total of six Oscars, including Best Picture.

Anderson was awarded Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay — the first of his 30-plus-year Hollywood career. Sean Penn, who was not in attendance, was named Best Supporting Actor. The film also won Best Editing and the first-ever Oscar for Best Casting.

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners was another major standout, winning four Academy Awards. Michael B. Jordan was named Best Actor for his dual performance as twins Smoke and Stack.

For her work on the film, Autumn Durald Arkapaw became the first woman ever to win Best Cinematography. Sinners also won Best Original Screenplay and Best Score.

In other major categories, Jessie Buckley completed her awards-season sweep with an Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, Amy Madigan was named Best Supporting Actress for her harrowing role in Weapons, and KPop Demon Hunters gave the kids something to celebrate by winning Oscars for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song.

One of the biggest surprises of the night came in the Best Live Action Short Film category, when The Singers and Two People Exchanging Saliva were named dual winners. It was only the seventh tie in Oscars history.
