Lake’s Canada Day bash draws crowd

The Town of Lake Cowichan, Country Grocer and the Cowichan Lake Arts and Cultural Society put on a Canada Day bash that drew a crowd at Lake Cowichan on Wednesday, July 1.
The mid-week holiday saw locals and visitors head to Central Park to enjoy free entertainment on the bandshell stage, face painting, bouncy castle and other games for kids (and adults), cupcakes and other food provided by Cowichan Lake Elder Care Society and the Lake Cowichan Kinsmen, and a chance to visit with friends, neighbours and strangers.
