Huo Xing Cai Jing reports that the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), pursuant to court authorization, seized over $560,000 in cryptocurrency and took control of domains and servers allegedly used by Hamas for fundraising and recruitment. The operation involved three seizures on March 25, June 25, and October 10, 2025. Investigators identified an encrypted chat group that directed supporters to fundraising websites and tracked rotating cryptocurrency addresses. The operation also gathered information on thousands of individuals who had previously contacted Hamas online and attempted to donate via cryptocurrency or traditional methods. This action expands upon the $200,000 cryptocurrency seizure disclosed in March 2025. At least 17 related addresses have transferred over $1.5 million since October 2024, with funds passing through exchanges, over-the-counter brokers, and accounts in Turkey and other locations.
