Advance Auto Parts has opened up shop in Cromwell, according to the business.

The store, located at 136 Berlin Road, held “a ribbon-cutting ceremony…alongside local officials and representatives from Vinal Technical High School who accepted a donation from Advance Auto Parts for the school’s auto technology program,” according to Advance Auto Parts.

“The donation will help cover students’ parts and tools needs while they gain hands-on experience, training and career opportunities as future automotive technicians, and will help them enter the workforce with confidence. Skilled automotive technicians continue to be in high demand with approximately 70,000 openings projected annually through 2034, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics,” Advance Auto Parts went on to say.

“We’re excited to open our first store in Cromwell, which will also serve as a market hub, allowing us to better support our DIY customers, professional shop owners, technicians and the local community,” said Eli Rosa, Regional Vice President, Advance Auto Parts. “As we become part of the Cromwell community, we’re proud to support programs such as the automotive technology program at Vinal Technical High School, which helps address industry and local demand for skilled automotive technicians who play an important role in keeping our roads safe.”

Advance Auto Parts in Cromwell “is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” according to the business.
