Like the good shopping editor I am (amazing for my job, not so great for my wallet, but always worth it), I’m constantly scoping out all the places for the latest on-trend pieces. And with fall officially here, that means one thing: new clothes! New shoes! New purses! Basically a new wardrobe! Duh!!

Shopbop was one of the first places I checked because I knew I’d find plenty of the pieces I’ve been seeing everywhere lately. Sure enough, my instinct was correct; the site is full of fall’s biggest trends and styles I’ve been seeing all the fashion girlies wearing, including burgundy, animal print, and plaid. Here are the finds I’m eyeing now and plan to wear all season long.

Burgundy

If you haven’t heard, burgundy is about to take over fall. Personally, I’ve been seeing it everywhere I go ever since the temperatures started to drop. With its brown undertone, I’m not surprised it’s become such a popular shade, especially considering how chocolate brown has become the new go-to neutral.

This rich wine color is the perfect way to add some color to a look without feeling too stark or saturated. It’s sexy, it’s moody, and honestly, it screams autumn. Wear it on pants, a cozy sweater, or through your accessories if you want to keep things a little more subtle.

Animal Print

This isn’t seasonal territory in the slightest for me, as someone who has been wearing cheetah print like it’s a white tee for years. But for the cozy season, I’m seeing a variety of other patterns—like zebra, deer, and cow—popping up in so many different styles. From statement jackets and dresses to accessories, animal print is proving that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Plaid

If you also spent years wearing a uniform in elementary or high school (or, in my case, both—aka 13 years!), the thought of voluntarily wearing plaid might sound a bit unappealing. Or, at the very least, bring up some schoolkid flashbacks. I get it! But there’s something about it that gives me Gossip Girl fall energy, and the pieces on Shopbop right now are making a very convincing case for its comeback. Think unexpected color combinations, elevated details, and updated silhouettes that make the classic print feel more fashion-forward.

Funnel-Neck

There’s nothing I’m more excited to wear this season. A baggier, edgier take on the classic mockneck (its cooler older sister), it brings an effortlessly chic attitude to denim jackets, long trenches, leather coats, and just about every outerwear piece in between. I love how it can take something that might traditionally feel polished and straight-cut and give it a more relaxed, unexpected edge.

Argyle

Fall equals sweaters. Sweaters equal grandma-style vibes. Right? And that’s definitely what comes to mind when I see argyle—a little vintage and a little preppy. Which is exactly the look that’s been trending lately. But in 2026, argyle has gotten a modern makeover, with unexpected color pairings, oversized proportions, and less traditional styling. You can make it feel so much less buttoned-up and much more aligned with your aesthetic by layering it with unexpected pieces or opting for a bolder color palette.
