EUGENE, Ore. – The Florida State women’s outdoor track and field ream began the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday at Hayward Field with Rylee Blade capturing her first national recognition in record fashion.
 
Freshman standout Blade capped her season with a seventh-place finish in the women’s 10,000 meters, earning First-Team All-America honors while setting a new school and U20 American record with a personal best of 32:08.83. Blade’s performance marked the highest finish in the event since Pasca Cheruiyot in 2010.
 
Shenese Walker qualified for her third straight NCAA final in the women’s 100, winning heat three with an automatic qualifying time of 10.94.
 
The 4×100-meter relay team of Lucy May SleemanShenese WalkerLiana Tyson and Micayah Holland advanced to Friday’s final, placing second in their heat with an automatic qualifying time of 43.23.
