It was announced by the host that his rating is now at 37% approve of the overall job he is doing as US President while 63% disapprove of it. It was also explained that views of the state of the economy have dropped to their lowest level in “several years” currently standing at 29% of people saying it’s good. The host then welcomed the channel’s executive director of elections and surveys, Anthony Salvanto.

He told the host: “Feelings are so closely connected to peoples finances, we’re seeing people say the feel stressed, they feel concerned about their finances, feelings of economic security are down from a year ago.”

Salvanto continued: “Overall though, they’re continuing to tell us they don’t feel their income is keeping pace with inflation and that’s something we’ve been seeing now for years coming out of the pandemic, so contextually yes, it’s part of something larger.” However a big point was the feelings of uncertainty which is how people have been describing the economy, he said.

In another blow to Trump, he stated that people are not currently confident that they’d be able to find another job if they needed to due to the job market, with concerns over big structural changes. However, while they were discussing the results of the polls, people in the comments weren’t confident in the authenticity.

One user wrote: “Same polls told us Trump had no chance of winning the election too.” Another wrote: “And yet, his candidates he selects still win. You need real polls.” A third even added: “You know in my 60 years on this planet I have never once been contacted to participate in one of these polls. Are these things just AI generated at this point?”

However, it’s not the first time it’s been reported that his numbers are dropping recently. Last week it emerged that in relation to healthcare Trump had a 65% disapproval rate, stating that the public perception on how Trump is doing in the healthcare department is the lowest of any president this century. It was explained that Biden was at 57% disapproval rate, and Obana was at 63% over the debate around Obamacare.
