Jamie Oliver – Jamie’s Italian

Despite his massive success on TV, Jamie Oliver was left red-faced when his Italian restaurants plunged into administration.
The star opened up about “learning” from the failure of his chain – which returns to London later this month after being closed for six years.
He said on Jamie Oliver: The Naked Chef Bares All: “It happens, and I would call it a minor blip really, in the vision and the dream. A very painful one. But definitely, I’m better for it.

Greens

It was later confirmed that the company was more than £500,000 in debt after the sudden closures.
Simon said at the time: “After 33 years running Greens in Didsbury we’ve unfortunately had to close the door.
“Our landlords have increased the rent in the region of 35%, the cost of raw materials, the cost of heat, light and power, employing people and general food costs have meant the business has unfortunately become unviable so with immediate effect we have shut the door.”
