Christina Applegate has shared a heartbreaking health update in her battle with multiple sclerosis.
The award-winning actress was diagnosed with MS in Summer 2021 while in the middle of filming the final season of Netflix’s Dead to Me.
Her diagnosis halted production for several months as the 50-year-old sought treatment.

Speaking recently to People, the actress confessed that while it’s tough to leave the house, she pushes herself to take her 15-year-old daughter Sadie to school each day.
“I want to take her; it’s my favourite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves.”
“I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do,” she admitted.

Christina continued: “My life isn’t wrapped up with a bow. People’s lives, sorry for lack of a better term, f***ing suck sometimes. So I’m being as honest and raw as I possibly can.”
On August 10, 2021, the 52-year-old actress announced she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
She tweeted, “Hi friends. A few months ago, I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition.”
Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some asshole blocks it.

Following the heartbreaking announcement, Christina thanked her fans and asked for privacy at the time.
She tweeted “As one of my friends that has MS said ‘ we wake up and take the indicated action’. And that’s what I do. So now I ask for privacy. As I go through this thing. Thank you xo”.
