Derrick Monasterio is back in theater!
On social media, Sparkle shared snaps from Derrick’s theater comeback as the titular role in the musical “Ibarra… Ngayon.”
Present in his theater comeback were his girlfriend, Elle Villanueva, fellow Sparkle stars Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix, and Sparkle Assistant Vice President for Talent Management Tracy Garcia.
Directed by Frannie Zamora, the musical is based on Jose Rizal’s novel “Noli Me Tangere.”
“Ibarra… Ngayon” runs until June 20 at the GSIS Theater in Pasay City.
Derrick currently stars in the Kapuso Afternoon Prime drama “Apoy Sa Dugo,” with Elle and Ashley Ortega.
The series airs at 4:05 p.m. on GMA Network.
