Dragons Care is bringing back its Give Back Summer restaurant fundraiser series, giving Southlake families a delicious way to support Carroll ISD staff members facing personal hardships.
Throughout the summer, participating local restaurants will donate a portion of proceeds from designated fundraising days to Dragons Care, a Southlake-based nonprofit that provides financial assistance and support to Carroll ISD teachers, staff members, and school resource officers during times of unexpected need.
Community members can participate simply by dining at the featured restaurant on its scheduled date and mentioning Dragons Care when paying to ensure their purchase is included in the fundraiser.
“Give Back Summer is a wonderful example of what makes our community special,” says Virginia Hinkle, founder and board chair of Dragons Care. “By simply enjoying a meal at one of our participating restaurants, community members can directly support the educators and staff who serve our students every day.”
This year’s remaining Give Back Summer schedule includes:
June 22: Kincaid’s Hamburgers, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
June 29: Ferah Tex Med Kitchen, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
July 6: Thailicious Cuisine and Bar, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

August 3: Mar Cosina, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Earlier participating restaurants included Jersey Mike’s, Taverna Rossa and Armend’s Pizza & Pasta.
“Give Back Summer allows our community to come together over great food for an even greater purpose,” Hinkle says. “We are incredibly grateful to our restaurant partners for helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of Carroll ISD staff members.”
Residents are encouraged to invite friends, family and neighbors to take part throughout the summer and help support the people who care for Carroll students every day.
