India demands block on 15 crypto platforms for AML non-compliance.
India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND) has called for the restriction of access to the websites and applications of 15 cryptocurrency platforms for failing to comply with anti-money laundering regulations, according to the country’s Ministry of Finance. The list includes Weex, BloFin, Rezorex, Bitunix, DigiFinex, Toobit, XT.com, Latoken, WOO X, Pionex, ChangeNOW, SimpleSwap, FixedFloat, WhiteBIT, and Guardarian.
The agency has also issued notices of violations to these companies. Cryptocurrency services operating with Indian users are required to register with FIU-IND, maintain transaction records, and provide the necessary reports. These requirements also apply to foreign platforms without an office in India.
