WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — International travel is taking off again at T.F Green Airport, after years of little to no international flights.
BermudAir ended its Bermuda travel services in July 2025.
Before that, Norwegian Air shut down its transatlantic routes in 2019, and Frontier ceased operations in 2023, leaving the airport focused almost entirely on domestic travel.
Now, travelers lined up with passports in hand for Breeze Airway’s new flight to Cancun this afternoon.
Passengers say they’ve been waiting for this moment — excited to skip the long drives to Boston and finally start their international trips right here at home.
“I’m happy to see they’re coming through T.F. Green because it certainly makes it a lot easier than driving up all the way to Boston,” Ryan Hitte said.
Airport officials haven’t announced when international services will expand beyond select routes.

Travelers tell me they’re hopeful this is just the beginning and that T.F. Green will continue adding more international destinations to its lineup.
