Solmar Villas has appointed James Howlett to the newly created role of Sales and Distribution Director.
James, who announced earlier this month that he was leaving his job as Hurtigruten Sales Director UK and EMEA, will join Solmar Villas at the end of April.
He has previously also worked at Fred. Holidays, Uniworld and Collette Tours.
In the newly created role, James will lead and scale the sales function across B2B and B2C channels, shaping and executing a sales and distribution strategy, developing the sales team, and growing relationships with key distribution partners, including travel agents, tour operators and online travel agents, said Solmar Villas.
General Manager Sharon Bradbury said: “This is a critical role for the business and with James’s stellar background and results-driven approach to leadership, we know he’s going to make a real difference to our business and will be a great fit with our company culture.”
