Lady Gaga and her fiance Michael Polansky are loving life as parents.
The 40-year-old pop megastar and the 42-year-old entrepreneur have secretly welcomed their first child together, and a source told People that they “beam when they talk about being parents”.
The insider added that “Michael seems lighter, happier”, and that the couple “both took time off of work this summer to be with [the] baby”.
On Friday (11.09.26), the New York Post’s Page Six shared pictures of Gaga – known as Mother Monster to her fans – and Michael on a family walk in Northern California, with the Born This Way hitmaker carrying their bundle of joy in a light-coloured sling/carrier.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, has previously spoken of her desire to become a mom many times.
Appearing on an October 2025 episode of CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 16-time Grammy winner said: “I would like to do many things. All of these things are open. But what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”
And in March 2020, the Poker Face icon told InStyle: “I will say I am very excited to have kids. I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”
Gaga also spoke about her wishes for her future children, telling Elle.com: “Family – it’s like the roots of the tree. They grow long, and sometimes they’re mangled, and sometimes they’re full of water, and sometimes they’re thirsty.
“Family is what makes you who you are, and it also defines your need for change.
“I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them. I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me.
“Maybe other than that, I just did my best. And tried to stay true to myself along the way. That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot – allowing our kids to be their own people.
“It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world. And they’re told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat… I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are.
“My kid might one day say, ‘Mom, why do you do these things? I saw a funny video of you dressed up.’ Most certainly that will happen. And you know, maybe it’s okay to say, ‘What do you think?'”
The Applause artist and Michael were first linked in 2020 when they were photographed kissing at a New Year’s Eve bash in Las Vegas.
They made their relationship Instagram official after being spotted together at the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami.
The pair quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in July 2024, Gaga revealed that she was engaged to Michael when she introduced him as her “fiance” to the then-French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, 37, at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
