LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Downtown Louisville filled with music, dance, and community pride as the Commonwealth’s premier celebration of Latin music and culture returned last night.
The 8th Edition of the Latin Music Awards Kentucky (LMAKY) took place Saturday night, August 22, at 4th Street Live! (411 S. 4th St.).
This year’s ceremony featured more than 60 nominated artists competing across 15 award categories. The nominees represented the vibrant, growing Latino music community throughout Kentucky, celebrating artistic excellence and the lasting impact of Latino culture in the region.
The Red Carpet and the main Awards Ceremony were free and open to the public.
Since its founding in 2019, LMAKY has recognized outstanding local talent, highlighting the work of past trailblazing winners across the state.
Past winners include: Tina DeAlderete (Best Female Latin Artist ), Henry Miles (Best New Latin Artist), and Mariachi Sensación (Best Mariachi Band).
