International popstar Dua Lipa and British actor Callum Turner, who married earlier this month are believed to have spent their wedding night aboard billionaire Denis O’Brien’s €490,000 a week mega yacht.

The stunning couple staged a suitably showbiz wedding bash in Sicily, with the nuptials making waves in the famed Italian Riviera.

The Levitating hitmaker, 30, tied the knot with British actor Callum Turner, 36, in an intimate civil ceremony at London’s Marylebone Town Hall before the real party got started in Sicily, where the couple treated guests to a day-long extravaganza that locals compared to something straight out of The Godfather.

And it seems the honeymoon was just as glamorous. According to reports in a local Sicilian publication, the newlyweds spent their very first night of married life aboard the 90-metre superyacht Nero, which is owned by Irish telecoms tycoon Denis O’Brien.

Colourful businessman O’Brien reportedly charges a jaw-dropping €490,000 a week for the privilege of sailing the high seas in the most ultimate of luxury that money can buy.

Boasting an Art Deco-style cocktail lounge and its own onboard gym, the vessel, which flies the flag of the Marshall Islands, was snapped up by O’Brien back in 2014 before he splashed out on a glitzy refit fit for royalty, or in this case, pop royalty.

Insiders say the newlyweds vanished from view for an entire night and part of the following day, with one local paper noting their absence from the marina was a sure sign ‘the couple spent the night and part of today aboard the yacht’ following the festivities in the Sicilian hamlet of Bagheria.

It comes after the wedding itself brought parts of Palermo to a standstill, with several piazzas closed off for the celebrations, much to the annoyance of some locals.

But Dua and her new husband appear keen to smooth things over. The pair are said to have offered the city a “cultural gift” as an apology, with Palermo’s mayor, Roberto Lagalla, revealing that talks had taken place between the two camps to make amends.

Guests at the multi-day celebration were treated to a performance from Sir Elton John, who serenaded the newlyweds with his classic Your Song, as well as a pop-up bookshop that took over an entire city square and even a marching band.
