Resurfaced footage taken on a private jet highlights the past friendship between convicted sex offenders Russell Brand and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs before their legal problems

Disturbing footage has re-emerged showing convicted rapist Russell Brand alongside disgraced music mogul Sean “P Diddy” Combs, highlighting their past bond. Ex-comedian Brand, 51, was found guilty of raping a woman in 2009 alongside the sexual assault of three others, and he is due to be sentenced at London’s Southwark Crown Court on Monday (November 9).
Across the Atlantic, 57-year-old Combs is currently locked up in federal prison, where he is serving a 50-month stretch after being convicted in July 2025 of transportation to engage in prostitution, having been cleared of racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
The pair, who starred together in the 2010 comedy Get Him to the Greek, were filmed inside a private jet bound for Las Vegas for the Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao showdown in 2009 – long before their respective criminal cases, reports the Express U.S.

The footage shows them seated together, with Combs placing his arm around Brand, calling him “Rusty Rocket” as they chat about their upcoming Vegas plans, which Combs describes as “a straight guy date.”
Combs introduces Brand as “a very, very, very dear friend of mine” while outlining their itinerary, reports the Mirror US.
At one moment, Combs suddenly pulls his arm away from Brand’s shoulder, saying, “Does this feel… It felt a little…” to which Brand replies, “I liked it,” prompting Combs to ask, “Yeah, you liked it?”

Reflecting on their physical proximity, the former comedian noted, “I didn’t feel comfortable enough to start embracing you. So, I didn’t want to be… I referred to you with affection. I thought you were in a position to express an arm on me. I mean, I didn’t let it cross over into the area of being physically aroused or anything.”
The disgraced Bad Boy Records founder then stated, “Oh, no, no, no, no, no. None of that. Look, you know what it is? We’re going out on a…On like a date. Uh, a straight guy date. A guy’s night. 48 hours.”
Brand, who was romantically involved with pop star Katy Perry at the time, questioned, “With a normal date…The best possible result of that date is sex. Now, with our heterosexual date, what is the best thing that could happen?”
The former rapper replied: “We could find some women to have sex with,” prompting Brand to concur, “That is our conclusion.”
Combs wrapped up the video by addressing the camera directly: “For 48 hours in Vegas. You’re seeing us at the beginning of the 48 hours. As you know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But we really… We plan on going to the hospital.”
Combs is currently incarcerated at FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania, following his transfer from Fort Dix FCI in New Jersey, while Brand remains in custody in London awaiting sentencing.
